Today I celebrated Wellness Wednesday with the teachers and staff at a local school here on Long Island. I can’t think of a better way to spend my afternoon than inspiring people to take better care of themselves.

Let’s think about what happens when I take great care of myself:

 

I feel healthy enough to inspire more people

I become a happier mother to my three children

I teach healthy habits to my children

I am a happier healthier wife to my husband of nineteen years

 

Talk about a ripple effect!

 

What would happen if you took great care of yourself?

What would you do if you felt great?

Who could benefit from you being healthier?

 

 
Here is the smoothie recipe I shared today: (btw…it was a HUGE hit!)

 

Almond Butter Cup

2 cups unsweetened almond milk

1 heaping tablespoon of almond butter

1 fistful of fresh spinach

1 heaping tablespoon of raw cacao

1 banana

1 fistful of ice

 

Blend and enjoy!
